Harvey has been married to Marjorie for 10 years now. The couple was long-time friends before finally tying the knot. They were both married to different people earlier, and it wasn’t until 2007 that they finally got together. Harvey often credits Marjorie for changing his life. Not only has she helped him rebuild his empire, but they’ve each supported the other’s career throughout. Marjorie is now a successful blogger and designer with a social media following that rivals her husband.
So now that we’re all caught up on the couple’s love story, let’s get back to their recent ‘tiff.’ As you probably know by now, one of Harvey’s most successful ventures is in the world of television hosting. Marjorie made a special appearance on the Steve Harvey Show in a special segment called “I Love My Man, But…”. It was clear that all Harvey expected was a little friendly banter between him and his loving spouse. However, then Marjorie called out Dr. Phil, and things began to get real!
It turns out, Marjorie was sick and tired of her husband’s messy nature. She voiced her frustration to Dr. Phil and Harvey sincerely and genuinely. However, as you can probably imagine, the show’s host wasn’t too keen on being the center of attention this time! Even before Dr. Phil stepped onstage, Harvey announced that “this segment is gonna backfire on Y’all.”
Fortunately, Harvey was game enough to take the whole thing in his stride. He did receive some brutally frank advice, in any case.
“Would you like me to give you some tools to solve this with? If you’re the woman of the house…. and you’re embarrassed because you’re married to someone who looks like they live in a yard sale,” Dr. Phil told Marjorie, “then you have to teach him how to treat you!”
In the end, the long-time couple resolved their problems and proved that communication is the key to a happy union!
