Traffic Reporter’s Hilarious Rendition Of Let It Go Will Leave You In Stitches

Smart suits, polished shoes, perfect hair, and the ability to rattle off facts at a moment’s notice is what seems to be the most formidable image in our heads of a reporter. But this article is about to change that image. You see, reporters are like the rest of us. Their jobs can get pretty hectic and monotonous too. Which is why every once in a while, they break out of their shells and have some fun onTV. This hilarious traffic reporter, for instance, has a career in the entertainment industry waiting for him!

Bob Herzog, a former traffic reporter from a local news station in Cincinnati, is famous for his “Dance Party Friday” segments. He’s done some hilarious parodies of popular songs and blended the lyrics with traffic and weather reports on the show. Among Herzog’s most famous parodies are “Bridgetown Funk,” a parody of Bruno Mars’s “Uptown Funk,” and “Traffic Man,” inspired by Sir Elton John’s “Rocket Man.”

This guy provides quality entertainment to his viewers. If only the news was this interesting every day!

But one parody that quickly made its rounds online was “Just Don’t Go,” a song wherein Herzog advises people not to attempt driving when the snowstorm hits. Though this is, by all means, a serious topic, he mixes in a little humor by delivering the report in the tune of “Let It Go” from the animated movie, Frozen.

Sure enough, people love this new version! You will, too, once you hear the lyrics. Here’s a little sampler:

“The snow blows right on the roads overnight, not a lane strike to be seen. A town with no transportation, and the info comes from me. Highways are crawling like some slow ants in a line. They won’t all stay in, and heaven knows I try…They can’t stay in, so they must-see. Be the traffic man you have to be. The wheels they squeal, spinning the snow. And now they know… don’t go!”

Hilarious! If we may suggest, this could be an excellent time to start re-watching Frozen, now that the holidays are just around the corner. And when Queen Elsa starts belting out “Let it Go,” maybe ‘dub’ her song with this cover and see if you can stop laughing!

For now, though, you can sing along with this traffic reporter.
