A Humble Carpenter Enters The Stage With Guitar In Hand, Nobody Expects Him To Put Up A Performance Like This!

Successful people make it look so easy…and your own choices look so questionable! As their careers flourish and everything seems to work out for them, you find yourself in a slump, wondering if your goals are impossible, or if the universe has abandoned you. If all that sounds a little too close to home, you need to hear about Marty Brown.

Before you give up on your own hopes and dreams, you should know that there are tons of people who found success later on in life. Harland Sanders, for example, began to grow the fast food chain KFC when he was well into his 70s. Today, his face is plastered on more than 18,000 KFC outlets around the world.

Plenty of entertainment bigwigs also watched their careers take a while to flourish. Some great examples include Harry Potter actor Alan Rickman, author Harry Bernstein, and Britain’s Got Talent winner Susan Boyle.

The man you’re about to meet today certainly looks like he’s taking a cue from these inspiring figures. Marty Brown, a carpenter from Franklin, Kentucky, is concrete proof that dreams are valid (and possible!) at any age.

Marty Brown: Carpenter Proves To Judges That Talent Can Come From All Ages

You’ve probably noticed that a majority of the contestants on America’s Got Talent are all young and vibrant hopefuls looking to get a shot at fame. We rarely get to see anyone in their middle age or golden years trying their luck on the reality TV competition.

Marty Brown was looking to change that. The cowboy and his wife drove all the way to the city to see if Marty could make it past the audition. He had always dreamt about a career in music, and believed that he still had plenty of time to make that dream come true.

“Everybody’s got to have dreams, you know, you run out of dreams, you might as well not be here anymore,” he told host Nick Cannon.

When his turn finally arrived, Marty entered the stage with a lot of character. However, it proved to be a little too much for the judges, as they couldn’t help but cringe over Marty’s awkward yee-haws.

Judge Heidi Klum attempted to break the ice by asking Marty about his song choice. He replied that he’d be performing “Make You Feel My Love” by Bob Dylan, a love song that he and his wife both cherish.

“It’s my wife’s favorite song, I sing it for her in the kitchen all the time.”

Marty then took a seat on the stool and played his guitar. When he hit the first note, the crowd went silent. Because they’d clearly underestimated this cowboy! Marty’s soulful voice echoed around the room, breathing life into the performance.

Witness the magic yourself, by watching Marty Brown perform with all his heart in the video below. We should warn you that things get a little sentimental towards the end. If you think Marty’s an inspiration, please share this post with everyone you know.
